There’s a baffling array of astronomical equipment out there, and it’s very easy to fall into the “paralysis by analysis” trap as you try to decide what is best for you. Steve Tonkin will guide you through the minefield, explaining the different types of telescope and their strengths, and describing what you can reasonably expect to see with them.

The talk will take place on Zoom and details will be provided before the event. To book your place, visit the Eventbrite page for the event.

Steve Tonkin FRAS Steve is the Dark Skies Advisor to the AONB, and is an astronomy educator, STEM ambassador, and author. He is frequently interviewed about astronomical matters on local radio, and is in demand as a speaker at astronomical societies and festivals.
