Butterfly Counting at Martin Down National Nature Reserve
Butterfly transects are conducted on the same route, once a week from 1 April, finishing at the end of September each year.
This year and in 2023, we’re looking for more volunteers to join us in carrying out butterfly transects across five routes at Martin Down National Nature Reserve.
You will be trained by partners in the Greater Grazing project – Natural England and the Countryside Service at Hampshire County Council.
For full details and to find out when our next training sessions take place, sign up as a volunteer on the Chase & Chalke Volunteer Hub
.Information about all of the Chase & Chalke volunteering and free training opportunities and events, as well as all the other AONB news, is provided in our regular e-newsletters which are issued each month. To sign up to receive these visit: Our Newsletter – Cranborne Chase
