Bringing the story of Cranborne Chase to life through arts, crafts, and re-enactment activities at the wonderful Ancient Technology Centre, Cranborne
Join us for a range of hands-on activities, demonstrations and displays on either Saturday 9th April OR Sunday 10th April, both days are 10am- 4pm. Please click on ‘Register’ to book your preferred day.

What’s on offer:
Ancient Paints and Pigments – See how they’re made and get stuck in with some prehistoric art!
Historic Textiles – Try your hand at carding, spinning wool and weaving using a traditional loom.
Wattle Fence Making – Using hazel stems, join in and try your hand at weaving wattle fences, a craft dating back to the Neolithic period.
Build a Bird Box – Create a bird home for your garden.
Medieval Martial Arts – Longsword displays and weapon demonstrations.
Ancient Wessex Network – learn about pottery, metal working, flint and stone working, sculpture, jewellery making, food and constructions techniques from the Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age periods.
Adopt a Sapling – Take home one of our saplings to grow, then join us for our Community Tree Planting Day later in the year.
Creatures of Cranborne Chase – Discover the living heritage of the landscape and learn who lives here.
Immersive Storytelling – Join us in the Earthouse, settle down and soak up the atmosphere of ages past.
T-shirt Painting and Printing – Get stuck in and create your own T-shirt memento to take home.
