Observing the Moon and Planets with Astronomer, Steve Tonkin

Date/Time

 Wed 07/04/2021
 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The dances of the Moon and planets make a rewarding study, and they can be observed with very simple astronomical equipment – or even none at all!

Continuing the observing theme he began during our StarFest in February, our astronomer, Steve Tonkin, will show you how you can re-create some of the discoveries of pioneering astronomers like Galileo, and will guide you towards getting the very best out of your binoculars or small telescope.

This is one of two special talks to celebrate International Dark Sky Week 2021 which runs from 5-12 April.
