Join us as we celebrate 80 years since the chance discovery of Rockbourne Roman Villa.
From the earliest Iron Age settlement to the opening of the current museum 50 years ago, we’ll explore the key chapters of what we know about this special archaeological site through immersive, family friendly living history displays and activities, all set in the beautiful village of Rockbourne.
Come face to face with Saxon Warriors and Roman Soldiers, plus learn more about the site’s Iron Age past. There will also be a display on the history of the excavations of the site, and lots of craft and making activities for children including decorating your own shield and making a mosaic plaque.
