We are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer to join us until June 2024, working 22 hours a week.

About the role

The Cranborne Chase and Chalke Valley Landscape Partnership has been awarded £1.68m from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to enhance the natural, historic and cultural heritage of this stunning, historic landscape through encouraging widespread community engagement and involvement.

Could you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and successful day-to-day running of a busy working environment? We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic team member to support the delivery of the Cranborne Chase and Chalke Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme. This is a varied role working with the Chase & Chalke LPS team, as well as partners and stakeholders across all projects, and includes financial administration, office administration, and other project support duties.

Salary: £23,023 – £24,920 pro rata

About you

Your skills will not only embrace advanced administrative support, financial, and office/processes management but will also include project support including booking venues and providing the secretariat for Landscape Partnership related meetings, ensuring efficient and effective operation, and providing excellent customer service to the team, all partners, stakeholders, and the public.

You will be responsible, alongside the Scheme Manager, for regularly monitoring complex Landscape Partnership budgets and the submission of accurate and timely grant aid claims to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and/or other external funding bodies as appropriate. You will be responsible for the processing of invoices and will require knowledge of finance systems. You will also ensure that all financial aspects of the Scheme comply with the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s regulations including those for procurement and acknowledgment of grant aid. You will have at least 3 years track record of similar work with excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications. You will be responsible for ensuring all databases are kept up to date and will work closely with all the Chase & Chalke LPS teams. You may be asked to turn your hand to many tasks such as researching topics for team members through web or telephone inquiries; being closely involved with organising small or major events, handling bookings, assisting in the development of displays, and generally contributing to the ongoing delivery of the scheme’s twenty projects wherever possible. Your friendly and helpful approach to enquirers, organised and methodical approach to office management, together with a positive attitude to problem-solving will be distinctive qualities you bring to this pivotal post. Your enthusiasm and contribution to teamwork will be fundamental to the ongoing, successful delivery of the Landscape Partnership Scheme.
