bright crayons next to earth pigmentsThis area of natural beauty was bought in memory of Thomas Hardy, to protect the landscape in which his novels are set. Fontmell Down and Harding’s Down offer stunning views that stretch for miles across the Blackmore Vale.

This beautiful area takes on an autumnal glow so come along and learn about its history, visit the sheltered wood where you can spot fungi and collect material for a fun and friendly, creative, afternoon workshop with Jo at Melbury and Cann Village Hall, where you’ll make an artistic collaged or drawn map of your morning’s walk.

Suitable for all the family, of all ages. All materials provided. Bring a packed lunch and dress appropriately for the weather.
