Farming in Protected Landscapes

What is the Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme?

The Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme was launched by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in 2021. It provides funding to enable farmers and land managers to work with Cranborne Chase National Landscape to provide benefits for nature, climate, people and place.

Projects must support the priorities of the Cranborne Chase National Landscape Management Plan and Nature Recovery Plan. See the links below to find out more about our funding priorities in Cranborne Chase, and how to get in touch to have an initial discussion about a project idea.

The programme is open to all farmers and land managers (including from the private, public and charity sector) in Cranborne Chase National Landscape, or where activity can benefit the National Landscape, and runs until March 2026.
