Melissa joins the Cranborne Chase National Landscape team under Chase & Chalke Partnership having worked for both Forestry England in the New Forest and BCP Council as a Countryside Ranger at both Hengistbury Head and Stour Valley Nature Reserves.
Before turning her hand to ecology and wildlife conservation, Melissa worked in many different roles including as a recruitment consultant, commercial surveyor, financial adviser and even drove a mini train around a local shopping centre! She then embarked on a Wildlife Conservation Internship in Costa Rica, working on projects protecting species such as marine turtles and jaguars before returning to the UK to undertake a BSc in Ecology and Wildlife Conservation.
Melissa lives near Southbourne, Bournemouth with her husband and two young daughters. In her spare time, Melissa can be found sea swimming near her home and enjoying the local wildlife around her local nature reserves. Fun facts – Melissa is a super recogniser, which means she has better-than-average face recognition ability!
