See stunning views from Melbury Beacon, and stroll around Fontmell Down where you can spot orchids, moths, bugs, birds and butterflies depending on the time of year. This chalk downland site is an internationally important habitat.
With parking managed by the National Trust car park, refreshments and facilities can be found nearby at near Compton Abbas Airfield. Fontmell Down is managed by the Dorset Wildlife Trust.
