Become a Practical Conservation Volunteer
Our Practical Conservation Volunteers work to conserve and enhance the natural landscape of Cranborne Chase, and provide better access to the landscape for communities and visitors.
We’ve been working hard, but there are still many goals we want to achieve.
Help the Chase & Chalke team protect and enhance this special landscape that spans across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
We’re on the look out for volunteers of all ages to help us complete practical conservation tasks across the Chase & Chalke area.
Enjoy Practical Sessions with the Team
We arrange practical conservation days were you will be working in small groups to undertake a wide range of tasks all across our Chase & Chalke area.
Tasks will vary through the year depending on the season and will include activities such as:
- habitat management
- tree planting
- coppicing
- hedge laying
- maintaining public rights of way
